Colour Archaeology – An interdisciplinary journey of discovery come to London

Colour Archaeology is an extraordinary exhibition by designer Roberto Sironi that combines art, design, archaeology, and the history of color. Commissioned by LAUFEN, Sironi devoted over three years to researching the history of color, presenting a fascinating journey through ancient ceramic cultures—from the blues of Mesopotamia to the celadon green of the Chinese imperial period to the earthy reds of the Roman Empire. This research resulted in an exclusive color collection for LAUFEN, comprising twelve timeless shades that not only bear historical significance but are also relevant in the modern design world.
